My addiction to Pinterest and how I use it

150 150 Hillary Lachman

Many of you who are a friend of mine on facebook know I am always posting something I find on Pinterest. Oh what is pinterest you ask? You kinda have to see for yourself to understand… but the way I explain it to everyone is basically imagine a ton of bulletin boards on your wall at home and one is “inspiration” one is “yummy food” one is “things for the home” etc and you find clippings in magazines and pin them to your boards. It’s the same concept really except online.

so I have numerous boards… one is food for instance. I use the site for recipe searching. So I search “vegetarian” or “smoothies” and it comes up with tons of pins people have posted. You can re-pin it to your own board, favorite it, or tweet it, email it, etc. You click on the image and it brings you to the original webpage that original recipe is located on! I have made some super yummy stuff.

Another board I have is fun stuff around the house, kids crafts, kids room ideas, photography inspiration and my current favorite: Lillys birthday party ideas. Yes, I am already working on her party and getting all my inspiration from my boards.

Anyone can sign up but you need to be sent an invite. If you want me to invite you, just email me directly with your email address and I will send you one (then follow me 🙂 ). But I am warning you… it’s very very addicting!

A screenshot of the main screen of the people who I follow showing what THEY have pinned to their boards:

Now see how I am utilizing this to plan Lilly’s birthday party? Can you tell my theme yet?
