A very very good friend of mine– Karen Lisa Artistic Photography (one of my best friends actually) is an AMAZING wedding and portrait photographer in Florida and she recently wrote a WONDERFUL article on her blog about why you shouldn’t just buy the disc of images… whether it’s for portraits or weddings the bottom line is the same. As professional photographers, we are providing a professional service that deserves a quality product in the end. What will be when your grandchildren are going through your attic when you are gone and want to see your pictures from your wedding… or when mom was born… etc. Digital media fades.. it gets corrupt. It eventually disappears. Your prints (from PROFESSIONAL labs… not consumer ones or your home photo printer) are what you will pass down to them… more then the prints— the albums… they all tell a story about who and what we are these days. How many of you got your dvd of your wedding or a portrait session and never did anything with it or can’t even find it… or went to pop it in the computer and it’s missing data? Yup.. that’s me… I and I’m sure plenty of you.
