Three years ago at this time (about 9:52am) I was laboring around Balboa Park walking for 2 solid hours waiting for Lilly to drop before being admitted to the birth center. I FINALLY delivered her at 8:20pm weighing 8lb 12 oz and she was 20.75″ long (can you tell 20 is a lucky number for her?) I am so thankful I was able to bring her into the world naturally and to this day I remember every single contraction (no, you don’t forget it!) Lilly has grown to be this adorable, funny, sassy, extremely smart and determined child. The past 3 years have been full of challenges along with fun and I can’t remember life before her (I mean yes, I do miss sleeping in.) I told her last night “tomorrow you will be 3!” she said “no mommy, I will be 5. I want to be 5 now” easy there child.
